David Orazietti
David Orazietti Community Service and Volunteer Work
A former educator, public servant, and senior college administrator, David Orazietti has provided extensive community service in Sault Ste. Marie. David Orazietti has contributed to local initiatives through volunteer roles, public service, and partnerships with organizations in education, health care, business, and social services.
David Orazietti served as vice chair of the Sault Area Hospital board of directors. He also served on the Algoma University College board of governors, the ARCH Hospice board of directors, and the Sault Ste. Marie Public Utilities Commission board of directors. Additionally, Mr. Orazietti participated in the municipal freedom of information and protection of privacy act committee, parks and recreation committee, John Rhodes expansion committee, and ward boundary review committee.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Orazietti served as a Sault Ste. Marie City Councilor and later represented the community in the Ontario Legislative Assembly between 2003 and 2016. He received several honors for community and public service, such as the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce President’s Award, the Justice I A Vannini Award, and the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
Outside his professional work, Mr. Orazietti enjoys swimming, skiing, and hockey. He also spends time reading, woodworking, and attending live music concerts.
